Following a protective shutdown, the

status light on the generator will

repeatedly blink a 1 or 2 digit code. A

chart, mounted on the generator,

provides an explanation of common

faults such as high engine coolant

temperature, high exhaust temperature,

or low oil pressure. Additional fault

codes and troubleshooting tips are

listed in the Operator’s Manual. You can

also view fault codes in text on the

digital display, if the boat is so

equipped, or through network

communications on various displays.

These fault codes assist the operator or

service personnel in evaluating a variety

of other operating conditions and

service checks. As many as 31 fault

and warning codes can be displayed.

Many times the boat owner is able to

determine the cause of the shutdown

and fix it himself. If service is required,

the boat owner has access to

diagnostic information the service

person can use to assist in correcting

the problem.
